Rochele Tillett

Captain Rochele M. Tillett's initial assignment was 1st Battalion, 62nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas, where she was deployed twice. During the first deployment to Ali Al Salem, Kuwait, Captain Tillett served as a Tactical Control Officer, Headquarters Platoon Leader, and Fire Control Platoon Leader. During her second deployment to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, she served as Battery Executive Officer, interim Battery Commander, Assistant Operations Officer, Battalion Unit Movement Officer, and Battalion SHARP Victim Advocate. Upon completion of Air Defense Artillery Captain’s Career Course in October 2022, she was assigned to 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade where she served as the Brigade Assistant Operations Officer for six months before moving to 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, assuming Command of Bravo Battery on 23 June 2023. Following Command in 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, she was selected for a second Command of Charlie Battery 2nd Battalion 6th Air Defense Artillery Regiment on 18 May 2024.

Her military schools and education consist of; Army Officer Candidate School, Air Defense Artillery Basic Officer Leadership Course, SHARP Foundation Course, Unit Movement Course, and USAR TC AIMS II Course. Captain Tillett earned a bachelor’s degree of Art in Political Science from Fort Hays State University and a Master of Public Administration with a focus in Business and Government and a Minor Public Policy from Liberty University.

Captain Tillett’s military awards include the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Army Service ribbon.
