Professional Bio
Chaplain Isham’s assignments include a tour with 3-2 ADA Battalion serving in Operation Spartan Shield. CH Isham collaborated with Joint Forces to coordinate religious support efforts within the CENTCOM and AFRICOM AOR. Chaplain Isham maximized religious support efforts to assist sister units in Kuwait, Jordan, and Djibouti.
Chaplain Isham civilian ministry experience includes serving as a Youth Pastor for several churches, working as the Director of Sports for an inner-city nonprofit, volunteering at a Pregnancy Service Center to help at-risk families, and doing missionary work New York City as well as overseas in the Himalayas. He entered active duty as a Chaplain upon his return stateside in 2022.
Chaplain Isham is currently serving on his first assignment as a Battalion Chaplain at 3rd Battalion, 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment.
His military education includes graduation from the U.S. Army Institute for Religious Leadership, completing the Chaplain Basic Officer Leader Course in which he earned Commandant’s List. He also graduated from the Pastoral Skills Intensive Course at the Chaplain Family Life Training Center in Fort Cavazos, Tx. He is currently enrolled in the Army CPE Extended Course.
Chaplain Isham’s awards include the the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
Chaplain Isham is married to his wife Kelly and together they have two sons, Henry (9) and Edmund (6).
