Captain Matthew R. Kendall was born in Fairfield, California. CPT Kendall graduated from the University of Alabama in 2014. Upon graduation, CPT Kendall enlisted into the Army as a 94Y (Integrated Family Test Equipment Operator and Maintainer) and served with the 122nd Aviation Support Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade. In 2017 CPT Kendall graduated from Officer Candidate School and after completing Air Defense Officer Basic Course, CPT Kendall served with the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery (5-5 ADA) as a Counter-Rocker, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) Platoon Leader. CPT Kendall deployed with 5-5 ADA in 2018 to Afghanistan as a platoon leader and a site OIC. CPT Kendall continued to then serve 5-5 ADA as a Battery Executive Officer, Battery Training Officer, and a Battalion assistant S3. CPT Kendall graduated from Captains Career Course in 2021 and after served as a Brigade Assistant S3 to 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. CPT Kendall deployed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2022 as the United Stated Central Command Forward’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense Planner.
