Professional Bio
SFC Christie joined the Army on 03 March 2009 and attended BCT at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Upon completion of BCT he reported to Fort Bliss, TX to attend 14E, Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator Maintainer, AIT. After graduating, he was assigned to Alpha Battery 2d ADA REGT, 11th ADA BDE on 28 October 2009 as a THAAD Radar System Operator Maintainer. On 11 October 2012 he was assigned to HHB 5th BN, 7th Air ADA REGT at ROB located in Kaiserslautern, Germany. During his tenure with HHB, he served as the ICC communications specialist. After a year of training and field exercises, he deployed to Gaziantep, Turkey on 04 November 2013 to help provide protection for the local nationals against Syrian Ballistic Missile threats. SFC Christie was again assigned to Alpha Battery 2d ADA REGT, 11th ADA BDE on 01 May 2015 and served as the Sensor Platoon Section Leader and latter was selected to serve as the Sensor Platoon Sergeant. On 11 July 2017 he assisted with a successful Flight Test THAAD (FTT-18) live fire in Kodiak, AK as an AN/TPY-2 radar crew member. He then was assigned to 13th MDB, 174th ADA BDE, 10th AAMDC on 10 April 2018 to support the forward base THAAD AN/TPY-2 radar operations in Israel as the Battery Trainer. On 05 May 2019 he was assigned to Bravo Battery 2d ADA REGT, 11th ADA BDE and served as the Sensor Platoon Section Sergeant and then latter was selected to serve as Sensor Platoon Sergeant. On 03 December 2019, B-2 (THAAD) received a 96-hour PTDO in support of Operation Spartan Shield, sending him to Saudi Arabia on the first ever THAAD deployment where he served as Crew 3 NCOIC for the duration of the deployment. SFC Christie is currently serving as the B-2 (THAAD) Fire Control Platoon Sergeant.
